Jeff was able to take off work and we took Colton to the Zoo. He absolutely loved it and was so excited to go. In the car he kept saying "go to the zoo with mommy and daddy". He had such a great time and I love family days like this!!
When we got there we went straight to the new Koala exhibit because we heard they might be awake. Koalas sleep about 20 hours a day, so to see them awake is a treat. They were very awake and eating and climbing! This made it much more fun for Colton to see and they are soooo cute! This could be a fun pet right?? :)
Colton really liked watching the penguins swim. We saw them twice!
Looking at the penguins with Daddy. He would touch the glass and the penguin would peck at it and open his month. It actually kind of scared Colton and after we left he kept saying "don't pet penguin, it's scary". Silly Boy!
This chimpanzee kept looking at Colton and he thought it was very interesting!

Colton loved seeing the lions, since he really likes The Lion King right now. He kept saying "There's a Lion King" and "Roar".
It is hard to see but the window is looking out at the lions. He was so excited to eat lunch with the lions. They were sleeping on the rocks and he would look up at them and say in a whisper "shhhh lion sleeping".
The giraffe exhibit is just so neat! He watched these giraffes up close for a long time!

Colton loved these little Kangaroo statues. He petted them, hugged them and gave them kisses. :)
Hitching a ride back to the car. Colton walked so much! We were there about 4 hours and he walked probably 85% of the time!

When we got home we opened presents!
We got Colton a mini kitchen for his Birthday and he really liked it!!
"Coffee for Daddy". Colton watches Jeff make coffee all the time and when we saw the coffee pot he grabbed a cup and poured some! He will love this kitchen!

Here is Colton's new quick way of opening presents...just dump it out! Ha!
For Colton's birthday dinner we went to Taco Cabana for one of his favorites...chips and queso!

Blow out the candles! He thought this was so fun we had to relight the candles a few times for him to blow them out "one more time" as he says! :)
