4 Months Old

We cannot believe Colton is already 4 Months old! He is getting quite the personality! Our pediatrician is on vacation next week, so his appointment is not until the 9th, but I could not wait that long to post something! :) We just love this baby boy! Here are some of the things Colton is doing:

• Still sleeping through the night great. He goes down around 9:30 and up anywhere between 6:30 and sometimes even 8!
• Still really loves his swing! That is where he naps.
• He is doing much better on his tummy and has complete head control. I have been able to start carrying him on my hip!
• Rolled over once on his own
• He wants to see everything that is going on and is very curious!
• Still nursing great and takes a bottle well
• Loves, loves, loves, to chew on his hands!
• Grabs a toy if you put it in front of him and then usually takes it to his mouth.
• He really enjoys his Jumperoo, Baby Einstein, Sofie the Giraffe and all his toys
• Still enjoys having books read to him
• Starting to get a fuzzy little head with hair...too cute!
• Wearing 3 month size clothes
• Is such a happy smiley baby and has laughed a few times!

Surprise This Morning

When I heard Colton this morning at 6:45 and looked in the monitor, this is what I found...I ran in there to check on him and he was just fine asleep on his tummy! Scared me a little though! I am surprised he was not upset as he has not been a fan of tummy time. We thought this might be coming since he recently started turning on his side to sleep. Hope I can sleep now knowing he can turn on his tummy...

Toys

Colton is beginning to enjoy all his toys now. Do you think he needs some more? We got all his downstairs toys out the other day...yes there is more upstairs! :)

All those fun toys, but I think our hands are still our favorite!

We put together the jumperoo and Colton LOVES it! He thinks it is the neatest thing! His feet almost touch the ground, but not quite, so we improvise by putting a blanket on the floor.

Of course, he still really enjoys bathtime!

Water Baby

Last night we took Colton swimming for the first time. He loved it! After he got used to it, he was smiling and kicking in the water. We think he will be a child that loves the pool and lake! :)

Future Fire Fighter?

Today we took Colton up to visit his Uncle Nathan at the Firehouse, where he is a fire fighter/paramedic for Richardson. They have a new station and it is really nice! Here are a few photos from our trip:

4th of July and 3 Month Photos

We had a great 4th of July weekend at the lake. We were amazed at the amount of fireworks people set off at the lake and right by you! So we got to see fireworks on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Of course Colton was alseep during them and we were surprised they did not wake him up! They also had a really neat airshow with some neat planes, including a F-16 that made the house shake when it flew by! Here are some photos from our weekend:

Happy 4th of July

Our neighbor gave us this little life vest she had to try on Colton. It was a little big and Colton was not sure about it, but could work. We did not take him on the boat though because the water was too rough!
