Do They Look Alike??

Many people tell us how much Cambry looks like Colton.  But I don't see it very much...except when Cambry is asleep, then she looks a lot like Colton did.  Colton looks more like me and I think Cambry looks more like Jeff. Here are some various comparison pictures.
They look a lot alike here!
Cambry is shorter and not as lean as Colton was.
They have similarities for sure and you can tell they are siblings....but do they look alike???

Cambry is 3 Months Old!

How can it be that our baby girl is already 3 months old?!?! She needs to slow getting big down!! Cambry turned 3 months old on the 10th.  We couldn't imagine life with out her, yet it feels like she still just got here.  We love her very much!!
  • Weight - We know she weighs over 12lbs. because that is what she weighed on 12/23/13 when we went to the doctor for rsv.  She is growing!
  • Cambry is wearing some 0-3 month size clothes and starting to wear 3 months size as well.  She is wearing size 1 diapers, but as soon as we finish up the last few we are moving up to 2!
  • She is a great sleeper and always has been! She will go down anywhere between 8:30 and 9:30 and wake up between 7:00 and 8:00! Sometimes she will stir around about 6 but if I give her the paci she falls back asleep right away.  (Yes she is still in our room...we are working on that :\)
  • She is starting to get into a better schedule of eat, play, sleep.  She will sleep most the time while we run errands because the car seems to put her to sleep.  This is really nice for me!!
  • Cambry is very vocal...a lot more than her brother was (a little concerning since her brother talks non stop now...so if she is more voacal what will she be like!?!?) She will let you know for sure if she wants something! She will cry and fuss more, but also coo and "talk" a lot too.
  • She still likes to be held a lot and now wants to be facing outward observing all the action...and with Colton there is a lot of action! :)
  • Cambry LOVES her brother! She will just watch him so intently and follow him with her eyes whenever he is in the room.  Colton can get the biggest smiles and laughs from her too!
  • She doesn't mind tummy time too much and is really strong.  She is getting great head control! We have even started using the Bjorn with her facing out and she seems to like it.
  • Cambry likes watching her brother play, playing in the bouncer seat and playmat, her pacis, grabbing daddy's nose, petting Austin the doggy, and snuggles with mommy!
Colton loves to hold Cambry and give her kisses!
 Sweet sweet baby feet!!
This girl has a serious milk coma sometimes!
This was when she really started to give sweet smiles. Love it!
Tummy time with brother is always more fun! :)
Cambry is not as long and lean as Colton.  She will probably be a bit shorter.
 Precious baby girl!
This is how Cambry runs errands with me...a perfect angel!
In the past week and a half I have tried out naps in the crib...it is a 50/50 shot if she stays asleep for longer than 10 minutes.  We are working on it!
Bath time is going better and she seems to like to try to splash now.
We have had to get all bundled up to take Colton to school with some cold mornings!
Happy 3 Months Old Sweet Baby Girl! We Love You!

Other Stuff

Here is some other random stuff we have been up to this past month. Just some this and thats of our fun!:)
We celebrated Mammaw's 60th Birthday at the beginning of December.
Just Colton and I took a trip to the grocery store and he got to ride/"drive" in this cool shopping cart.  It is hardly ever available when we go to the store!
Cambry is very talkative and loves smiling and talking to her Daddy!
Love these ladies! I had a great time at our annual Kappa PC'99 Christmas dinner.
Colton is starting to not take naps.  He says he "isn't tired"...clearly falling asleep at dinner proves other wise! :)
Cambry is starting to like her baths a little more!
We celebrated GiGi's birthday at the end of December.
We took a 4 generation picture! I have learned so much from these two women!
We said goodbye to a blessed and wonderful 2013
The first week of January we took a trip to the Lake.  Colton LOVES the lake and has been begging to go for months! So as a reward for his behavior chart we took a quick overnight trip to play at the Lakehouse.  It was super cold and couldn't do much outside, but Colton had fun playing there anyways.  This was Cambry's first of many many more trips to the Lake. :)
I can't believe we all fit in the car with luggage and baby gear!!
Fun time at the Lake...but BRRRR it was cold! Hurry up summer!!!

Christmas with Our Families

Since Cambry got sick, we had to move our Christmas celebrations with our families until she was well. Although we celebrated a little later, we still had just as much fun!
On the 29th we had Christmas with the Banners at our house.  It was a fun day with brunch and presents!
Colton had so much fun opening presents!
He even got to help Cambry open hers.  Such a good big bro!
He also helped Grandpa! He had so much fun passing out the gifts too!  Every time he would hand the gift to the recipient he would say "Merry Christmas!"
Colton, Uncle Paul and the cool Minon he got.
Miss Cambry just watched and took it all in.
Since we did not make it out to Red Oak to see GiGiB, she sent her gifts with Grandpa.  Colton got all 3 Toy Story movies and was soooo excited!
Thanks for a fun Christmas Grandpa and Ms.Janet!
We celebrated Christmas with the Martin side on New Year's Day. It was a day filled with yummy food and more presents!
After breakfast, we opened stockings.
Then it was time for presents!!
Colton helped GG open her gifts too.
This sweet baby slept through it all...with me holding her of course. :)
Throwing up the paper like they are leaves is soooo fun!!
After we opened gifts Mammaw and Pappw said each grandkid had one more surprise present...and boy was Colton excited and surprised about his!! Colton was so excited he was jumping up and down and said "I love Christmas"  So fun! Cambry got a cute bear rocking horse, but of course can't ride it for a little while. :)
Of course we took this toy outside immediately to drive it!
Emory even got a ride :)
I am sure Cambry will have her share of rides, but she hung out inside this time.
Thank you Mammaw and Pappaw for a great Christmas!
Christmas was wonderful and good to us! (Minus the rsv!)
