Last Weekend of Summer and a Change for Colton

This weekend was Jeff's last weekend of his summer break. He went back officially to work today. :( Of course we spent the weekend at the lake!
Ready to go on a boat ride!
The water was perfect for wake boarding!
Colton watching the wake board action on the boat with Pappaw.  When Jeff would wake board he would say "Go Daddy Go". It was really cute!
Austin even had a good time playing in the water.
Great last weekend of Jeff's summer break!

On to Colton's big change! We have been trying to postpone this day as long as possible, but it was time...we changed Colton's crib to a toddler bed! He has freedom now! :) He did soooo well too! He did not get up until morning and napped there with out getting up as well! Seeing the bed with out the front makes me realize how big he is getting and he is no longer a baby. :(
Colton helped Daddy change the bed.  He had the best time helping!!
Sleeping like a champ in his "big boy bed".
 Good Morning Mommy!

Olympics

We just love the Summer Olympics at our house and the 2012 Olympics did not disappoint! This was Colton's first Olympic experience and he liked watching some of the sports! He really liked swimming, track, diving, equestrian and beach volleyball.  Way to go USA!!
Colton loved his Olympic shirt!
Here are 2 videos of what Colton did when he watched diving.  Hilarious!!

The Greatest Show On Earth

We took Colton to the Circus this weekend and he loved it!! He was so excited to go and see it! He did well at the show and really watched a lot of it.  Of course all the animals, especially the elephants, were his favorite!

Before the show started you could go down on the floor and meet clowns and see acrobats, jugglers and some animals.  We decided to go early to check it out and we are glad we did. It was really neat!
Meeting a clown.  Colton was really not to sure about him as you can tell by the way he is looking at him! "What is up with that guy?" would be our guess as to what he was thinking. :)
Watching the jugglers.
We even got to see an elephant really close! You could not pet him or anything, but he was right there! Colton was amazed!
Before the show started Colton picked out this little elephant to get.  He held it most of the circus and named it "Big".  He is so funny!
 "Yeay the circus!!"
"Daddy look at the Tigers!" These were one of Colton's favorites!
Watching his favorite (and mine too!) the elephants. (notice he is holding his elephant)
Such a fun day at the circus!! We will be back next time for sure!

5 Years

On August 4th, Jeff and I celebrated 5 years of marriage!  It sure has flown by and my how our lives have changed! We are so blessed to have each other!
Hard to believe this was 5 years ago!
We celebrated at Capital Grill! So yummy! They sure know how to help you celebrate.  Our table had a rose and heart confetti on it and they brought us champagne and took our picture!
Then this was our dessert! It was a great evening!!
After dinner we headed to the lake to relax just the two of us! It was nice to hang out in the sun with no worries! While we were gone celebrating, Colton stayed with Mammaw and Pappaw.  He had a fun filled weekend too!!
He went to the aquarium at Grapevine Mills and saw lots of fish, sharks and octopus!
Then he got to see some "big big bulldozers" as he would say! He loves bulldozers so this was such a treat!!
Apparently he took driving them very seriously! :)
Colton also got to hang out with Aunt Carolyn and Baby Emory
Then Sunday morning he went to a really neat park with lots of fun stuff to play on and a small water area.  He was so spoiled and loved every minute of it! :) Thanks to Mammaw and Pappaw for letting us have a child free weekend!

Hot Hot Hot

It has been sooooo hot recently! Over 100 degrees! There is not much you can do outside but play in water! Here is what we have been up to while surviving the heat.
Playing with the water hose.
Cooling off in our homemade water slide. :)
We tried out Jack Carter Pool in Plano and it was a fun! They have a neat area for little kids to run around and play in the water.
We had a swimming playdate with Gracyn.  These two played so well together and were having their own little conversations.  It was too cute!!
