Talking to Daddy

I have been trying to get Colton and Jeff talking on video and always seem to miss it. It is sooo cute. Everyday Jeff comes home and talks to Colton about his day and Colton tells him about his. Adorable! This video is the best I could get. :)

Weekend Fun

We had a busy and fun weekend. Here are some photos from our weekend!

We got a bubble bath on Friday night. We accidently left the soap open in the tub and it spilled, so when we filled the tub with water there were lots of bubbles. Colton thought it was fun!

Saturday morning we went to the Plano ISD FCA run. Jeff and I have volunteered at the event for the past few years. This year Jeff volunteered and I brought Colton to hang out. When we woke up Saturday morning, Colton had some how completly turned to the side. I am not sure how he squirmed around all swaddled up...

On Sunday we planted flowers and enjoyed the nice weather.

Colton is smiling at us a lot these days! It is so adorable! Not quite laughing yet, but it seems he is getting closer every day! I have not been able to catch him smiling on video really good yet, but am working on it. I got these great pictures of him yesterday! Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Tummy Time

We have been doing tummy time, but Colton seems to get frustrated quickly flat on his tummy, so we tried using the Boppy yesterday. He liked it much better. He is getting such a strong neck and likes to be held upright over your shoulder to hold his head up and look around. I also have been trying out my little video camera and thought this video of him was cute, so we are attempting to post a video (hope it works!) He is so alert these days and is starting to smile more and "talk" to you. I am working on getting this in a picture and video! :)

Mother's Day and More

I hope all the mothers out there had as wonderful of a Mother's Day as I did for my first one! On Saturday we celebrated with Jeff's family at his parents house and on Sunday we celebrated with my family at brunch and my sister's house. Also on Sunday we went to church for the first time as a family of three!! It was so nice to go to church and Colton did great! He was awake a little at the beginning taking it all in and flirting with the ladies behind us! Is that supposed to start so soon??

My sweet husband made my first Mother's Day so special! He went and got us breakfast tacos for breakfast and came back with beautiful flowers too! Then he got me a beautiful ring with Colton's birthstone! Colton got me a charm that goes with my necklace from when he was born. :) Thanks to the two most important boys in my life for an amazing first Mother's Day!

We started using the SwaddleMe thing at night and he will now sleep from 10:30 pm to almost 4 am! It is great! Why we did not do this sooner I am not sure! We are almost able to skip that 4 am feeding and I am waiting for that one special night he just sleeps and wakes up at 6! :)
