Cambry's Pulling Up

Miss Cambry is pulling up on everything!! She started pulling up around the 14th and is a pro at it now. She is getting big so fast and now I know walking will be soon. :(  She loves her new accomplishment and perspective of the world!!

Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day celebrating all the Dads!
On Friday we went to the lake to relax and have fun!
Jeff taught Colton how to fish for the first time! He was so excited.  Although he didn't catch a fish this time he had fun fishing with Daddy. :)
 Cambry enjoyed watching some too!
On Saturday, Jeff's Dad came out to the lake to celebrate Father's Day.
They got to fish and caught some good catfish.
On Sunday we went to my parent's house to celebrate with my Daddy.

Here is the cutest picture the kids made for Daddy.  He loved it and proudly displays it at work!
Happy Father's Day to a great Daddy!

We love you Daddy!!

Colton's Fun

Colton has been up to lots of fun stuff the past couple of months and I realized I hadn't posted about some of them.  So here is a hodge podge of some fun things Colton has been up too. :)
The first of May we took a trip to the Zoo with our friends Jocie and Boston.  It was a fun morning playing and checking out the animals.  We even saw a baby baboon!
Pappaw decided to make a train he could pull with his John Deer. The kids love it!!
We set up a fun water play area in the yard and Colton has had the best time sliding and splashing.
After Colton's school got out we set up a playdate with the boys from his class at the Little Elm Sandy Beach.  It was so much fun! The boys had the best time playing! They are such a fun group.
Colton, Cade, Will and Cash
Colton got some new shades...just call him Mr.Cool. :)
Colton's friend Jocie came over one day to play.  They had a fun morning together!
We have also played with the cousins, Emory and Paisley. 4 babes under 4 is a very busy time!
And of course Colton has had fun playing with his sister. He loves Cambry so much!!
On a not quite so fun note...Colton got tubes put in his ears on Friday, June, 13th.  Pretty sure this was the easiest of Colton's 3 surgeries! (still can't believe our 4 year old has had 3 surgeries!) He was back to himself by early afternoon.  Before he went back they gave him some medicine to relax ("goofy juice") and it made Colton so silly! It was really funny. Hopefully these tubes will keep the fluid out of his ears and help him hear better too!!

Cambry 8 Months Old

Sweet baby Cambry is already 8 months old! She is such a different baby than Colton! She is into everything, has no fear or reservations at all and is so spunky! This month has confirmed our thoughts that we might just have our hands full with her!!
  • Cambry sleeps at night from about 7:30 to 7:00-7:30ish (sometimes though she wakes up as early as 6:30) We try for three naps a day, but that seems to be fading.  She does take a morning and afternoon nap, but still has trouble sleeping on the go.
  • She nurses great 4 times a day and eats baby food twice a day. She likes anything I give her! She loves loves her puffs! She will bang her hand on the tray till she gets them.  We have also tried little pieces of banana and she really likes them too.
  • Wearing size 2 diapers  and 6 month and 6-9 month clothes.
  • Cambry is a quick crawler and when she somethings she wants to investigate, she is there quick! She loves her mobility and freedom.  She started kinda standing up on her toys but not pulling all the way up yet.  It will be soon so we lowered her crib again.
  • Cambry started making these excited little squeals and happy sounds and they are super cute and fun! She also started babbling more and has said "mamama" and "bababa".  It seems she is saying mamama at me...but it maybe coincidence.
  • She still is not a fan of her toys but is so curious about anything else! She loves playing with the pretend kitchen food and utensils.
  • Cambry still only has her two bottom teeth, but those top two teeth should appear really soon!
  • Cambry is such a momma's girl! I have to be in sight most of the time and she still likes to be carried quite a bit, but with her crawling she likes to be exploring when she can as well.
  • We continue to have challenges with her and the car seat.
  • She loves to use her hand to her mouth to make all kinds of noises.
  • Cambry likes exploring everything, giving the sweetest kisses (I love them sooo much!!), getting into things she shouldn't :), watching her brother be silly, playing with her toes, sitting in the high chair like a big girl when out to eat, trying any bites of mommy's food, playing in the exersaucer, when Daddy makes her laugh, and playing with laundry.
    Loves her toes!
     Getting into the laundry...
     and the pantry.
Such a big girl in the highchair!
The joy a wash cloth can bring! :)
Having fun with the play food
     Sweet sleeping baby
This unopened bag of yogurt melts kept her entertained and quite happy for awhile!
     Starting to stand up
A surprise for Jeff when he came home one day...he wasn't to thrilled, but I think she looks super cute! Hehe!!

Cambry's First Time Swimming

Last weekend we took Cambry and Colton to our community pool for the first summer swim.  This was also Cambry's first time swimming.  She seemed to have fun.  She liked playing on the steps and baby pool more than the floater.  Not surprised since she is not a fan of being confined!
