We started the weekend on Friday afternoon. Jeff left work early, we dropped Colton off with Pappaw and we headed to the President George Bush Museum. Man are we getting old...museum as an activity of choice on anniversary weekend. :) We love the Bush's and really wanted to see the museum since his presidency was impactful on us...and we were kid free! :) It was an amazing museum and we highly recommend it!
These are beams from the World Trade Center. The section dedicated to 9/11 was very neat!
Future President and First Lady in the Oval Office...Just Kidding! :)
We grabbed dinner at yummy Freebirds and headed to the Gaylord!
Saturday we slept in, had room service breakfast in bed (awesome!) and then headed to their new pool area. We hung out at the pool all day and it was great!
Then we went to dinner at Hibiscus in Dallas. It was sooooo good and we ate way to much!
We had a great little get away!
Thank you to Mammaw and Pappaw for watching Colton over the weekend! He had so much fun!!
He got to build a little car with Pappaw and his new little hammer!
He also baked 2 cakes with Mammaw...well he did one and Mammaw did one. He got to choose his cake color, shape and icing color. He made a purple heart shaped cake with pink icing and lots of sprinkles. Silly...but yummy!!
He even got to play with his cousins and had a good time!
Colton and Emory enjoyed having a juice break together. :)
Thanks again to Mammaw and Pappaw for watching and playing with Colton all weekend!!
