19 and 20 Months

Catching up…better late than never! Colton turned 19 and 20 months in October and November. He is full of energy and is 100% boy! He is such a joy and we are so blessed to have him as our little boy!

• Still a great sleeper with nighttime sleep from 8:30 to about 8:30 am with one 2-2 ½ hour nap.
• No new foods to report on the like list! We keep trying. This kid LOVES to dip things though! Ketchup is a favorite with Queso a close second!
• Colton still has 16 teeth.
• He is wearing 18 month clothes and size 4 diapers.
• Colton’s vocabulary is out of control and he is constantly putting multiple words together. He is getting easier to communicate with for sure…although half of what he says is still a mystery. He loves to talk! One of his favorite words right now is “no” accompanied by a head shake…hopefully we learn yes and use it soon! :)
• Unfortunately with the expanding vocabulary, he is a little parrot! For example…Jeff had just raked the leaves and the next day a big pile of leaves had gathered by the garage door. We went out to get into the car and Colton said “leaves” and Daddy said “ya…stupid leaves”. Well all leaves to Colton now are “upid leaves”…uhoh…better watch every word we say now!
• Colton now knows all his letters!! He can recognize every single one and say what it is! He loves to point them out and say them. Smart boy!
• Colton enjoyed Halloween and Thanksgiving! He liked all the time with family and all the extra attention! He enjoyed the festivities, the pumpkins, fall festivals, and yummy food. When you ask him what a turkey says he says “Gobble Gobble” in the sweetest little voice! :)
• Some of his other favorite things right now are: walking and holding our hands where ever we go, lemonade (requests it daily!), coloring, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, his doggie Austin, talking, pumpkins, reading books before nap and bedtime, cookies, trying to escape by opening doors (just the lever handles at this point), Ernie, pushing his trucks all over the house, giving “knuckles”, and running around being a toddler boy!
