A little late…Colton turned 15 months last week. He is a little sponge! He seems to be learning new things everyday and we are amazed at the things he knows and remembers! We sure are having fun with our little boy this summer!!
• Colton continues to be a great sleeper and we have transitioned now to one afternoon nap in the afternoon. He will go to bed at night around 8 and sleep till 8-8:30 am.
• Colton continues to be somewhat of a picky eater. He has his favorites for sure…pizza, chicken nuggets and grilled cheese. We keep trying new things! Hopefully he will grow out of this phase soon.
• This month Colton cut 4 molars all of the sudden too! He just about has another bottom front tooth in too making the teeth total almost 13!
• He is still wearing 12 month clothes and size 4 diapers.
• Colton is learning and mocking words all the time! He talks gibberish most of the time, but vocabulary is growing! One of his new words is “Done”. He will say this when he is finished (or thinks he is finished :)) with a meal.
• He has learned to say “No” and knows how to use it! We will ask if he wants something and if he doesn’t he will firmly say “No” and most of the time push your hand away.
• Colton likes to be outside playing! Wish it was not so hot so we could be outside more!
• He really likes the water! He has enjoyed the pool, the baby pool, splash table and the lake! His most favorite thing water related is the water hose! Loves it!!
• Colton started mocking my mom and sister (who have had allergies pretty bad this season) blowing their nose. He will put his hands to his nose and mimic the sound with his mouth. They did not teach him this…he just picked it up. And the funny thing is he will do it at random time…I guess whenever he feels he needs to…haha!
• He seems to really love animals! His favorite movie and books are about animals and had a great time at the zoo. He loves to point out “doggies”, birds, ducks and any other animal he sees. He can recognize in pictures: duck, dog, cow, zebra, elephant, polar bear and penguin.
• Some of his other favorite things right now are: Elmo and Sesame Street, balls, cars and trucks, music (he even has been dancing more), saying “hi” and giving sweet little hugs, the remote control, running around playing in the house, of course he still loves books, Frankie, Gymboree and signing the itsy bitsy spider (he tries to do the moves too!)

Colton visited his Uncle Nathan at the Fire Station. He thought the big truck was really neat!!
