Colton turned 14 months on the 29th. We feel like he all the sudden turned into a little boy…where did our little baby go? He is such a good little boy and keeps us entertained and laughing for sure!
• No sleeping issues here! Sleeps through the night and still taking 2 naps!
• We are still working on getting Colton to eat new finger foods and he for sure still has his favorites. One of his new favorites is strawberries!
• He still only has eight teeth, but is cutting 2 more right now, they are almost all the way through.
• He is wearing 12 month clothes now and still size 4 diapers.
• He tries to mock everything we say! The other day he was getting into something…probably the dog bowls and I was telling him “No…that is yucky” and he started saying “Yuckie Yuckie Yuckie” as he walked off. So funny!
• We were afraid this would happen soon…he is figuring out how to run. Look out!
• This boy just loves balls! He loves to carry them, kick them, throw them, say “ball”…everything ball related. Sports here we come!
• Colton just loves his Daddy! When he has not seen him in awhile he will give him the biggest hug and just lay his head on his shoulder. He says “Daddy” in the sweetest voice and when Jeff is not around he will ask for him. So sweet!!
• He gives the sweetest kisses…and on command too. They are pretty much open mouthed wet kisses…but still the sweetest things! Melts my heart when I get them!
• Colton has a new friend…Frankie! He got this stuffed dog for Christmas and this past month really started to bond with him. He calls him “Doggie” and lays his head on him and gives him hugs.
• He will notice when a truck goes by in the car and say “vrrrmmmm”…how does he know that? Such a smart baby!
• When he is in his highchair he recently started laying his head down on the tray and saying “nigh nigh” for night night…he is not tired, but somehow just knows to pretend!
• Some of his other favorite things right now are: Sesame Street, playing outside, playing in the Tupperware cabinet, the dog Austin, the park, pulling things off of stuff, his iPod (we gave him my old iPod touch so he would not always want my phone), push toys, books!, sweet tea (Daddy gives him little tastes), and just playing!
