3 Year Old Stats

I realized I had not posted Colton’s 3 year stats and stuff, so better late than never! 

Colton had a great well check and did so well for Dr.B.  He said he is growing good and is very smart. Height: 37 ¾ in (60%)
Weight: 30 lbs (30%)

• Colton sleeps great in his big boy room in his big boy bed! He still takes a nap most days.  
•He continues to be a very picky eater.  His favorites include: applesauce pouches, pizza, chips and queso, strawberries and bananas, chicken nuggets, chocolate, pancakes, bacon, and peanut butter sandwiches (no jelly).  We struggle with veggies big time! 
• Colton wears 2T clothes and is slowly moving up to some 3T items, such a pjs and tees.
• Colton is a talker for sure! He can communicate very well and you can understand pretty much everything he says.  He always keeps us laughing and will say really funny things.  We are amazed at his memory and how he can remember something that happened a while ago or just once.
• Colton is one smart cookie.  He really loves to learn! He can recognize all his letters upper and lowercase, knows all their sounds and sounds out words.   He can spell his name along with a few other words such as cat, dog, lion, cow and a few others.  He knows all his numbers and can count to 29 (although he misses fourteen sometimes). He knows all his colors and most his shapes.  He is a sponge and seems to soak up everything.  He will love preschool in September!
• He plays so well on his own and has quite the imagination.  It is fun to watch him make his Jake and the Neverland Pirates or Bubble Guppie toys talk to each other and do things.
• Colton loves music! He loves to play instruments, listen to the radio in the shower, and most of all loves to sing! He sings all the time and loves to sing in the car.  Currently his favorite CD is Veggie Tales songs.
• He likes sports and started playing soccer right after he turned 3.  He loves practice but not so much games where there are too many kids and just one ball. J
• Some of his other favorite things right now are: Bubble Guppies, his big boy room, playing on the ipad, helping Mommy and Daddy with things around the house, playing outside!, Veggie Tales, going to play dates with friends, birthday parties, the park, Thomas the Train, he loves our dog Austin and any other dog, cuddling with Mommy and wrestling with Daddy, all animals, and playing in the dirt! 100% Boy!

I decided to start asking Colton these questions annually to see how they change.  Here are his answers for 3 yeaars old:

What makes you happy: “trains”
What makes you sad: “people” (no idea what this means?!?!)
What is your favorite food to eat: “hot dogs” (this is an interesting answer since he will not eat hot dogs!)
What is your favorite song to sing: “the Thomas song”
What is your favorite game to play: “Thomas the Train”
What is your favorite sport to play: “baseball”
Where does Daddy work: “at school”
Where does Mommy work: “at home”
