Dinosaurs at the Heard Museum

Last Saturday the weather was beautiful so we decided to take Colton to see the dinosaurs at the heard museum and enjoy the outdoors.  We had not been to the Heard Museum before and it was a great place.  We had such a fun morning!
Colton all ready to see some dinosaurs with map in tow!
The dinosaurs moved and roared and were so life like.  It was a neat exhibit!
Soon Colton ditched the stroller to walk.  This dinosaur made a funny noise and Colton thought it was pretty silly!
Along the exhibit were some "tough and feel" interactive dinosaurs. Colton is checking out the "big big big teeth".
The different dinosaurs were spread out along a nature trail so it was a neat walk.
All the dinosaurs were true to size...Colton was not 100% sure about the giant T-Rex (don't blame him though...dinosaurs are kinda scary!).  He would not get any closer than this. :)
Colton loved seeing the dinosaurs!
After we saw all the dinosaurs, we explored the rest of the museum checking out some real wildlife. They had a raccoon, deer, assorted birds, reptiles, lemurs and some other animals to see.
Checking out the raccoon.
After we saw all the animals, we decided to take a walk/hike on one of the many nature trails they have since it was such a nice day.  Colton rode for half of the hike and walked the other half.
On the nature trail.
There was a huge huge oak tree that has been there since before the Civil War. It was so big and beautiful and neat to see.  Colton said "Whoa...look at that big big tree.  The birds and squirrels live way way up in that tree". He was right!
Such a fun family outing enjoying nature and dinosaurs! :)
