21 Months

Colton turned 21 months while we were in the hospital. Here is what he was up to before that. He is on the mend and we are so happy he is doing better!
• Still a great sleeper with nighttime sleep from 8:30 to about 8:30 am with one 2-2 ½ hour nap.
• He is still a picky eater! Veggies are a no go and even things like mac and cheese are a no. One of his new favorites is fish sticks. He also really likes apricot applesauce. We keep trying!
• Colton still has 16 teeth.
• He is wearing 18 month clothes and size 4 diapers.
• Colton talks all the time! (No idea where he gets it! Ha!) He loves repeating things we say. He also likes talking to Austin and giving her commands like we do.
• Some of the really cute things he is saying is : “up with you” when he wants to be picked up, “thank you”, when we ask him a question if the answer is yes, he will say “oookay”, it melts our hearts when he says “hi mommy” or “hi daddy” in the sweetest little voice. He also likes to say "I do it" for any task he thinks he should do, which is everything right now! :)
• Colton can count…sort of! He repeats numbers in the right sequence, but not actually count objects although he pretends he is. He will say “one, two, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, leven, twelve, turteen, turteen, turteen, turteen.” Not sure why he leaves out three, four and five, but he does every time! It is so funny!
• He has started singing a little and it is really cute. He will be playing and all the sudden go “la la la la elmo worrrld” and he will partially sing along with some other songs as well. We love that he likes music.
• Some of his other favorite things right now are: Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, Caillou on PBS, dinosaurs, playing outside when the weather is nice, books books books, he began enjoying having his blanket and doggie in the crib with him at night, M&Ms, playing with his Mammaw, Papaw, and PePaw, animals, pointing out things he sees and just discovering all the new things in his world!
