ZOO!

This morning we took advantage of the cooler weather and took a trip to the Dallas Zoo. We went first thing in the morning when it was nice out and the animals were all out and active. Colton loves animals! His favorite video is baby Noah, all about animals and his favorite books are about animals. So, he had a great time and enjoyed seeing so many animals in real life! He was pointing at everything and looking so intently. I have a feeling we will be making several trips back!

Ready to see the Zoo! The Gorillas were right by the glass so Colton was able to see them really well! We were really impressed with the new Giants of the Savannah exhibit. They did a really nice job with this remodel! There were so many Elephants and they were easy to see! Colton liked watching them and so did Mommy! :) We made our way to the Giraffes and you were able to get so close to them. Colton thought this was really neat too! Thought this was hilarious the way this Giraffe took a drink while we were watching! "Mommy...look at the Cheetah!" The Lions were right by the glass! Colton wanted to pet them...we think he may have thought they were big doggies. :) On our way out of the exhibit we passed back by the Elephants and one came right by the cage edge and was sticking his trunk out of the slots. Colton was watching so intently! "This elephant is just my size to ride!" Colton liked all the birds they had. He can say "bird" now and is constantly pointing them out when he sees them.He had such a good time he fell asleep as we were leaving. :)
