Pool Time

We have enjoyed some time at Grandpa's pool this summer.  Colton loves playing in the water and Cambry seems to enjoy it more each time we go.

 Colton tried out some goggles for the first time and loved swimming with  them so much!

Summertime This and That

We have been up to all sorts of stuff this summer.  It is hard to believe it is almost over!  Here is a photo dump of our fun.

 Rainy days have made some fun puddle jumping adventures!

One time when Colton was with Mammaw and Pappaw they stopped to check out a corn field and pick an ear of corn.  Colton thought it was really neat to see where corn comes from!

 We have had fun summer weekends at the lake! 

Taking those lazy summer naps...but 5 minutes before stating "I am not tired" :)

 Cambry is little miss explorer and gets into all sorts of things! The tuppaware cabinet was a lot of fun!

 Cambry has figured out how to climb up the stairs and she is very good at it.  She thinks it is so fun and gets up them quite quickly!

 One morning Colton and I met our friend Cade and his mom at the movie theater.  We saw The Lego Movie and Colton loved it!! It was a fun little outing with my boy!

These two had really missed seeing each other!

 Cambry loves loves Colton's toys! She doesn't care so much for baby dolls or her baby toys.  She has the best time pushing around Colton's cars and playing with superman and his other toys. 

 Pappaw took Colton out to the Heard Museum on an unusual cool summer morning to explore.  They had a good time walking nature trails, seeing butterflies and other animals and just exploring the outdoors!

I caught this adorable pic of these two.  Colton is such a good big brother to Cambry and she just adores him. Makes my heart happy!

 Colton loves dressing up as a super hero and apparently being one is such hard work!

 There is so much about this picture that makes me laugh! The fact they are both passed out, they are both dressed up and Colon is wearing Christmas socks in the summer!! Haha!  

Cambry 9 Months Old

Time is flying by with Cambry and it is hard to believe she is 9 months old! She is a very active little lady!! She got  clean bill of health at her check up, with the exception of her being overtired because she nap strikes a lot! I guess she has FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). Ha! We will keep working on naps and hopefully this phase will soon be in the past.

Height - 28 in. (75%)
Head - 46 cm (95%)

• Cambry has been having sleeping problems. Most nights she sleeps from about 8ish to 6:30am and some nights she wakes up at random times, not to eat but to just be held. She should be taking 2 naps a day and some days she does...others she strikes. 
• She still nurses 4 times a day and "eats" 3 meals a day with us.  She seems to be a lot more interested this month in table food than baby food. She likes anything I give her, but her favorites seem to be avocado, cinnamon toast, peaches, watermelon, and graham crackers. 
• Wearing size 3 diapers and mostly 9 month clothes with a few 6-9 lingering. 
• Cambry is such a mover. She loves to crawl everywhere and pulls up on everything. She will cruise around furniture and she has even started walking behind something while pushing it. 
• Cambry always wants to be by her brother and loves playing with him for sure!
• She now has 3 (almost 4) teeth. One of her top ones came in and the other is almost through. She seems to have a little more trouble with teething than Colton did.
• Cambry basically hates to be confined, which results in tears in the car most of the time. 
• She has such a little mind of her own and knows what she wants for sure.  She has started throwing these little tantrums if she has to be redirected or can't have what she wants. We are in trouble!
• Her favorite things to play with are Colton's toys, water bottles, chips from the pantry, tupperware and apple sauce pouches.  I realize none of these are baby approved toys! 
• Cambry likes getting into all sorts of things, being outside, going on walks, playing with and watching Austin, playing with trains with her brother, eating table food, climbing on pillows, trying to take whatever is in my hand, giving the cutest scrunchie nose smiles, playing with the rumba (Colton was terrified of it till he was almost 3!), and snuggles with her daddy.
  
  
   Cambry is so silly sometimes...must get it from her brother. :)
  
   She loves crawling through the tent tunnel at the lake.  She has no fear or reservations...look out!
  
   Cambry always wants to be holding something.  One quick trip into the store and she insisted on carrying the bacon and wouldn't give it up.  Smart girl loving the bacon. Hehe!

4th of July

We had a super fun 4th of July this year at the Lake! The weather was awesome so we had lots of fun in the sun and water!! We got to celebrate the 4th for 2 days and it was busy!

On the 4th it was just us and my parents, so we took a boat ride, played in the lake and grilled hot dogs. And of course lots of fireworks that night to see!!

 Our boat ride was after a full morning of playing in the blow up pool and lake, and jet ski rides, so the boat ride put this worn out boy to sleep. Ha!

Mammaw got Colton this Teenage Mutant Ninja towel and he loved it! He wore it all afternoon!

 Colton was unsure about the fireworks at first but soon loved watching them! They are so close and loud at the lake, but they sure are awesome! Colton enjoyed playing with sparklers while watching the fireworks.  He also got some glow necklaces from the neighbors. 

The next day, the 5th, Carolyn and Nathan and their girls, Grandpa and Ms. Janet and some family friends got there.  We grilled hamburgers, watched the airshow with lots of planes, fished and spent another full day enjoying the sun and water and of course more fireworks that night!

 Colton and I rode in a new tube we got.  Jeff pulled us on the jet ski.  Colton thought it was super fun.
